AJK PM Announces One-Window Operation to Facilitate Investors and Promote Industrial Growth

MUZAFFARABAD (AJK), October 10: Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister Iftikhar Gilani has announced the introduction of a one-window operation to simplify registration procedures, facilitate investors and promote industrial development across the region.
Addressing a meeting of the Industries and Mineral Resources Department in the state capital, Gilani said the government would provide investors with security and all possible facilities to encourage industrial growth.
He said expanding the industrial sector would strengthen economic activity and generate employment opportunities.
The meeting reviewed the affairs and performance of the Industries, Commerce and Mineral Resources Department. Minister for Industries, Commerce, Mineral Resources and Tourism Chaudhry Abdul Rehman, Principal Secretary and Secretary Industries Sardar Adnan Khursheed, Deputy Secretary Raja Zaheer Mukhtar and other relevant officials attended.
Gilani said resolving investors’ problems was among the government’s top priorities. He directed the Mineral Resources Department to simplify procedures for granting large- and small-scale mining leases to encourage investment.
He also instructed officials to streamline the registration of industrial plots and related formalities. Under the proposed one-window system, investors would be able to access necessary services at a single location, while matters concerning industrial plot registration and other investment-related issues would receive priority attention.
The prime minister urged the Industries and Mineral Resources Department to focus on utilizing Azad Kashmir’s mineral resources and unlocking their economic potential.
He said the government would continue pursuing investment-friendly policies to expand the industrial base, strengthen the regional economy and encourage business activity.
Gilani reiterated that facilitating investors and removing procedural hurdles were essential to promoting industrial development and creating new employment opportunities throughout Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
