MIRPUR ( AJK); October 5 : Azad Jammu Kashmir Prime Minister Iftikhar Gilani said his government was prioritizing good governance, timely completion of development projects and improved public service delivery to accelerate development and address public grievances.
Talking to a delegation of women lawyers who called on him at Jammu Kashmir House in the federal metropolis on Monday, he said the legal fraternity had a vital role in upholding the rule of law and creating awareness among citizens about their fundamental and legal rights.
The delegation comprised Afshan Saeed Chaudhry, Sabiha Zahra, Quratul Ain Taqdis, Fasih Advocate and Romana Advocate.
The prime minister described the legal community as a key pillar of constitutional governance and the justice system, saying lawyers not only safeguarded citizens’ rights but also contributed to promoting social justice.
He particularly appreciated the contribution of women lawyers to the protection of legal and human rights and ensuring access to justice for women.
Gilani said the PML-N government would utilize all available resources to address public grievances, improve service delivery and steer Azad Kashmir towards sustainable development and prosperity.
