Gaza, July 27 (QNA) – Medical sources in Al-Awda Hospital in Nuseirat, north of Deir Al-Balah in the southern Gaza Strip, announced on Sunday morning that 10-year-old Noor Abu Salaa died of starvation and malnutrition, brining the death toll of children dying of starvation in the Gaza Strip to 86.
Cases of malnutrition and famine are constantly arriving at hospitals in Gaza, as 900,000 children in Gaza are suffering from hunger, 70,000 of whom have entered the malnutrition stage.
The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) had warned that malnutrition among children under the age of five had doubled between March and June, as a result of the Israeli occupation’s blockade of the Gaza Strip.
