DOHA: Ayman Al-Qudwa, a prominent tourism and media expert in Qatar, participated in a breakfast briefing hosted by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Doha to mark the country’s 35th anniversary of independence and highlight a decade of transformation.
Al-Qudwa is Director of Al-Saqr Travel and an experienced professional in Qatar’s tourism and travel sector. He is also a member of the Tourism and Exhibitions Committee at the Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry and an active member of the BNI ALMAHA network.
Recognized for his contributions to the industry, he received the BNI Qatar Man of the Year Award in 2020 and 2021.
As a respected tourism commentator, Al-Qudwa regularly contributes analysis to leading Qatari, Arab and international media outlets. He is a weekly columnist for Al-Arab and a certified tourism expert for Qatar TV and Radio, Sawt Al-Khaleej, Al-Araby TV, CNBC Arabia, TRT Arabic, Al Jazeera Mubasher and QBC.
The briefing was hosted by H.E. Dr. Ashraf Khodjaev, Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the State of Qatar, and focused on Uzbekistan’s transformation and growing international partnerships.
Speaking about the event, Al-Qudwa said he was particularly interested in the opportunities emerging from Uzbekistan’s development in tourism, investment, connectivity and people-to-people exchanges.
He highlighted the growing strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Qatar, saying stronger connectivity and cooperation could create new opportunities linking the Gulf with Central Asia.
According to Al-Qudwa, expanded cooperation could contribute to increased tourism flows, business travel, investment and cultural exchange between the two regions.
He noted that Uzbekistan’s transformation over the past decade has included greater economic openness, stronger regional cooperation, infrastructure development, social progress and deeper engagement with international markets.
Congratulating the people of Uzbekistan on the 35th anniversary of independence, Al-Qudwa said the country’s achievements over the past decade offered a strong foundation for further cooperation and new opportunities in the years ahead.
The briefing provided an opportunity for tourism and business representatives to exchange views on Uzbekistan’s development and its expanding ties with Qatar and the wider region.
