CAIRO, Sept. 24 — The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) on Thursday dispatched another humanitarian aid convoy to the Gaza Strip as deaths continued to be reported despite an ongoing ceasefire.
The convoy carried more than 4,000 tons of aid, including 2,107 tons of food, 188 tons of medical supplies and 1,733 tons of fuel for hospitals and other vital facilities, the ERC said.
It was the 283rd convoy sent from Egypt to Gaza since the ERC launched its humanitarian aid initiative for Gaza in late July 2025.
Gaza’s health authorities said Thursday that five Palestinians were killed and 35 others injured over the previous 24 hours.
The latest figures brought the number of Palestinians killed to 1,408 and those injured to 4,916 since the Israel-Hamas ceasefire took effect on Oct. 10, 2025, according to the health authorities.
