European Royals Mourn Passing of Norway’s King Harald

Royal families across Europe on Friday expressed deep sorrow and extended condolences following the death of Norway’s King Harald V, who died peacefully at the age of 89.
Oslo, August 28 (Anadolu): The Royal Palace announced that King Harald passed away at the National Hospital in Oslo at 6:35 a.m. local time.
Britain’s King Charles said he received news of the death of his cousin with the “deepest sorrow,” praising King Harald’s 35 years of service to Norway.
Spain’s King Felipe VI described him as an example of responsibility, dignity, simplicity and tireless dedication to his country and people.
Belgium’s King Philippe said Harald remained close to his people, while Denmark’s King Frederik X sent condolences to Crown Prince Haakon, who succeeds his father.
The Dutch royal family recalled their special friendship with King Harald, while Sweden’s King Carl XVI Gustaf praised his exceptional life and distinguished service as head of state and athlete.
Luxembourg’s Grand Duke Guillaume V also expressed sorrow and condolences over the Norwegian monarch’s death
