The oath-taking ceremony was held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr in the state capital, where Acting AJK President Chaudhry Tariq Farooq administered the oath to the newly appointed ministers.
Those who took oath included Sardar Amir Akbar Khan, Chaudhry Azhar Sadiq, Dr Mustafa Bashir, Colonel (R) Waqar Noor, Raja Saqib Majid, Umair Naeem, Raja Riyasat and Abdul Rehman Arain.
The AJK government had earlier issued a formal notification regarding the appointment of the new cabinet members. According to the notification, the eight ministers were inducted with the approval of newly elected AJK Prime Minister Iftikhar Gilani.
Following the ceremony, the new cabinet formally assumed its responsibilities and started functioning. The ministers are expected to begin work on their assigned responsibilities after portfolios are allocated by the government.
