Iran Accuses Trump of Undermining Nuclear Talks

TEHRAN, March 4 — Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi has accused U.S. President Donald Trump of undermining diplomacy by ordering military strikes during ongoing nuclear negotiations.

In a post on social media platform X, Araghchi said complex nuclear discussions cannot be treated “like a real estate transaction,” warning that misinformation and unrealistic expectations had disrupted the process. He described the strikes as “bombing the negotiating table,” calling the move a betrayal of diplomacy and of the American people.

His remarks followed joint U.S.-Israeli strikes on Tehran and other Iranian cities that began Saturday. Iranian authorities reported significant casualties, including senior officials and civilians. In response, Iran launched multiple waves of missile and drone attacks targeting Israeli territory and U.S.-linked assets in the region.

The escalation occurred after three rounds of indirect nuclear talks between Tehran and Washington, with a fourth round previously scheduled.

Separately, Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmaeil Baghaei warned that some European Union members risk aligning themselves with U.S.-Israeli actions, cautioning against what he described as complicity in aggression against Iran.

The latest developments have further complicated diplomatic efforts to revive nuclear negotiations.
