TEHRAN, Sept. 14 (Xinhua) — Iran’s Foreign Ministry has rejected the recent allegations made by the Group of Seven (G7) and its partners, describing them as “baseless, irresponsible, and politically motivated.”
In a statement issued on Sunday, the ministry responded to Friday’s G7 declaration, which accused Iran and its intelligence services of engaging in “transnational repression” and attempting to kill, kidnap, and harass political opponents abroad.
Iran firmly denied the claims, calling them “a distortion of facts and a hypocritical projection” by countries that, in its view, have themselves contributed to instability and insecurity across the globe. The ministry argued that those leveling accusations against Tehran are responsible for “law-breaking and escalation of insecurity in various regions.”
The statement further urged G7 members to reflect on their own actions, particularly their “complicity and partnership in Israel’s blatant violations of international law” in the occupied Palestinian territories. Tehran stressed that rather than issuing accusations, the G7 should be held accountable for undermining regional and international peace and security.
