Katara International Academy is preparing to launch a range of training courses and workshops in November, covering media, corporate communication, leadership, intellectual property, creative skills and maritime heritage.
The programmes reflect Katara Cultural Village Foundation’s efforts to expand its role in education, training and capacity building by offering specialised courses that meet the needs of individuals and institutions, develop professional skills and strengthen knowledge.
Dr Hassan Al Mannai, Director of Katara International Academy, said the November programmes marked a new phase in the Academy’s development and reflected its vision of providing an integrated learning and training environment based on quality, diversity and participants’ needs.
He said the programmes combined modern professional skills with cultural and heritage knowledge. Effective training, he added, goes beyond sharing information to developing practical skills, capabilities and professional competence.
Dr Al Mannai said the Academy aims to provide a distinctive training experience for different groups through specialised expertise and practical activities, encouraging continuous learning and innovation.
Diverse Programmes in Media and Leadership
The programme begins on November 1 with Corporate Communication and Media Relations Management, delivered by Aisha Omar Al Idrisi from November 1 to 5. The course focuses on developing corporate communication skills and building effective relationships with the media.
The Academy will also offer Leadership and Excellence Across Cultures, delivered by Dr Hassan Al Mannai from November 8 to 11. The course aims to strengthen leadership skills, improve understanding of cultural diversity and develop effective communication and teamwork in multicultural environments.
Other programmes include a falconry course for young participants, delivered by Mohammed Saeed Al Kubaisi from November 1 to 4, and a Qatari Ardah course, delivered by Waleed Issa Al Mannai from November 8 to 12. Additional courses will be announced in due course.
The Academy develops its programmes by identifying targeted skills and expected outcomes, selecting specialised trainers and designing practical activities suited to each course.
Katara International Academy has invited those interested in its courses and workshops to visit its official website, kia.katara.net, for programme details, schedules and registration procedures.
The programmes represent another step in the Academy’s efforts to strengthen its position as a platform for cultural and professional education and training, combining knowledge and innovation while developing human capabilities and preserving cultural heritage.
