MIRPUR ( AJK): October 18 :The District Bar Association Mirpur and Advance Medical Imaging Lab at DHQ Hospital Mirpur have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to provide subsidised laboratory and radiology services to bar members and their families, it was officially stated.
Under the three-year arrangement, signed at the District Bar Association Mirpur complex on Saturday, the Mirpur Bar members, their spouses, children and parents will be entitled to special discounts on diagnostic services.
Under the MoU, members will receive a 50 per cent discount on routine blood tests, 30 per cent on specialised laboratory tests and 25 per cent on routine radiology tests. Special radiology investigations, including MRI and CT scans, will be offered at a 40 per cent discount on market rates.
The agreement also provides free ambulance pick-and-drop services within Mirpur city for patients requiring radiology examinations. The facility has also undertaken to maintain the confidentiality of patients’ information and ensure the accuracy and reliability of diagnostic reports in accordance with international standards.
o avail themselves of the discounted facilities, lawyers will be required to present their Bar Council or bar membership cards, while family members will be eligible upon verification of their relationship with a bar member.
Signatories to the MoU include District Bar Association Mirpur President Advocate Babar Ali Khan and Advance Medical Imaging Lab Director Hasees Rashid.
