R&D Spending Rises 28.3% Year-on-Year as OMODA & JAECOO Accelerates Smart Tech Deployment
In the first half of 2026, OMODA & JAECOO’s parent company invested RMB 6.672 billion in R&D, an increase of 28.3% year-on-year, focusing on electrification platforms, advanced driver assistance systems and intelligent cockpits. Following an expanded collaboration with Qualcomm on cockpit-driving integration, the Summit will highlight the brand’s latest smart technologies.
The OMODA & JAECOO “Super Intelligent Experience Lab” will showcase SIVP (Super Intelligent Valet Parking) and SIAS (Super Intelligent AI Space), demonstrating how AI is being integrated into intelligent driving, cabins and chassis to deliver more intuitive interaction and smarter vehicle experiences.
Ultra-Long-Range Performance Sets Guinness World Records Title, Showcasing New Energy Technologies
The Summit will feature long-distance testing of new energy models including the OMODA 4 SHS-H, OMODA 5 NEXT and OMODA 7 SHS-H, demonstrating the performance and endurance of SHS technology. The OMODA 7 SHS-H will also debut its new 5-kWh large-battery HEV technology globally.
JAECOO’s hybrid technology has already demonstrated its capabilities in demanding real-world conditions. The JAECOO 7 SHS-P covered 828 miles (approximately 1,333 kilometres) on a single tank and charge at UTAC Millbrook in the UK, exceeding its official WLTP range by 11.14%. The JAECOO 8 SHS-P also secured a Guinness World Records title in Indonesia for a 1,660-kilometre combined driving range. OMODA & JAECOO’s SHS Super Hybrid technology is now deployed across markets on five continents.
OMODA & JAECOO Targets Zero-Carbon Factories, Accelerating a Green Ecosystem
OMODA & JAECOO is extending sustainability across the vehicle lifecycle, with renewable energy accounting for 52.77% of electricity consumption across its parent company’s vehicle manufacturing facilities, which include five national-level green factories and two zero-carbon factories.
Its low-carbon aluminium technology, combining 100% recycled aluminium, heat-treatment-free production and integrated die casting, can reduce carbon emissions by up to 80% compared with primary aluminium. The company is also advancing circular production through the capacity to recycle 100,000 tonnes each of scrap steel and aluminium, and 10,000 tonnes of waste plastics annually.
