Multan: Participants of the 10-week mandatory Promotion-Linked Training Course for BS-18 to BS-19 officers, organized by the Management and Professional Development Department (MPDD), Government of Punjab, visited Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Agriculture, Multan. The study visit was attended by 25 trainees and two faculty members.
On the occasion, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Asif Ali (Tamgha-e-Imtiaz) briefed the participants about the University’s academic and administrative system, development projects, research activities and major achievements. He said that the University has made significant progress within a short period in modern agricultural education, research, technology and strengthening industry linkages.
The Vice Chancellor said that the University is particularly focused on developing practical solutions to agricultural challenges in South Punjab, promoting modern agricultural technologies, addressing climate change and conducting research on efficient water utilization. He added that various initiatives are being pursued to transform the University into an effective center of modern research, quality education and practical training.
The purpose of the study visit was to provide the officers with practical exposure and further enhance their administrative and professional skills. University Focal Person/Registrar Imran Mahmood was also present on the occasion.
