Doha, October 28 (QNA) – Qatar Leadership Centre (QLC) convened the third edition of the Leadership Innovation Forum 2026 on Wednesday under the patronage of HE Chairperson of the QLC Board of Directors, Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al-Thani.
Held under the theme “Strategy Before Execution: Building Institutions That Endure Beyond Their Leaders,” the forum attracted more than 1,000 guests, including leaders, officials, experts, alumni and representatives from various sectors.
The event featured discussions and debates on building institutions capable of sustaining success across successive generations of leadership. Panel sessions examined strategic planning, governance, knowledge transfer and the preparation of future leaders to help organisations navigate challenges and adapt to rapid transformations.
In his opening remarks, QLC General Manager Abdullah Mohammed Khalifa Al Binali said the forum reflected the Centre’s commitment to advancing leadership thought and promoting the exchange of expertise across different sectors.
He noted that successful leadership is measured not only by achievements during a leader’s tenure but also by the ability to build institutions that continue to succeed beyond leadership transitions. The forum seeks to strengthen strategic thinking and experience-sharing to support institutional sustainability and develop organisational capabilities.
The programme opened with a documentary highlighting the leadership legacy of HH the Father Amir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani. It reviewed key milestones and strategic transformations in Qatar during his tenure, emphasising his role in establishing national institutions that supported comprehensive development.
Three main panel discussions focused on education, infrastructure, and oil and gas, showcasing practices for translating strategic visions into sustainable operational frameworks.
The programme also included three certificate-granting workshops for QLC alumni, covering strategic leadership in Arabic and English, alongside a specialised workshop for emerging young leaders. The sessions aimed to develop leadership skills and connect strategic concepts with practical application.
The forum supports the Centre’s mission to prepare national leaders and strengthen knowledge sharing among its alumni community of more than 1,400 graduates holding leadership positions across government and the private sector.
Through the forum, QLC continues to promote leadership dialogue and explore innovative approaches to improving performance and building resilient, sustainable institutions in support of Qatar National Vision.
