DOHA – KATARA: The second day of the 10th edition of the Katara International Hunting and Falconry Exhibition — S’hail 2026 — attracted large crowds of citizens, residents and visitors, with particularly strong interest in hunting and falconry equipment, outdoor gear and specialised products.
Visitors explored and purchased the latest products and equipment for hunting, falconry and outdoor activities, reflecting S’hail’s growing status as an annual gathering for enthusiasts and a platform celebrating Qatar’s traditional heritage.
The second day also witnessed visits by ambassadors, senior officials and dignitaries, who toured exhibition stands and viewed products, projects and equipment presented by participating companies and institutions.
Mohamed bin Abdul Latif al-Misnad, Vice Chairman of the Organising Committee of S’hail 2026, said the 10th edition represented a landmark in the exhibition’s journey and a decade of heritage, passion and achievement.
S’hail has established itself as one of the world’s leading specialised exhibitions for hunting, falconry and outdoor pursuits, combining the authenticity of heritage with modern technology and innovation, he said.
“Each edition presents a wide range of products, equipment, innovations and modern technologies” covering falconry, hunting, camping, vehicles and caravans, al-Misnad said, adding that the exhibition also provides opportunities for networking, knowledge exchange and partnerships.
He said the continued growth in participation, international presence and strong public turnout demonstrated the status S’hail had achieved over the past decade.
The 10th edition, he added, marked not only a celebration of past achievements but also the beginning of a new phase aimed at attracting more global products and innovations and strengthening S’hail as an international destination for enthusiasts.
Qatari Caravans Showcase Local Manufacturing
Qatari caravan manufacturers have a strong presence at S’hail 2026, showcasing products that combine comfort, quality and modern technology for desert and outdoor enthusiasts.
Abdullah Yousuf al-Sada, General Manager of Light Factory, said the company was participating to present a distinctive Qatari product. Its caravans use solar power and are designed for mobility and ease of use, incorporating facilities including a bedroom, bathroom, majlis and fully equipped kitchen.
Ahmed al-Sada, General Manager of Luxury Cruise Factory, said the company had introduced a new caravan at this year’s exhibition, reflecting its latest manufacturing capabilities.
The 27-metre-long caravan features a large bedroom, majlis and lounges, as well as a massage area, steam room with sauna facilities and a gym, combining luxury and functionality for outdoor travel.
He said the exhibition provides an opportunity to showcase the capabilities of Qatar’s caravan industry and introduce innovative solutions that respond to the evolving needs of outdoor enthusiasts.
4×4 Vehicles Attract Strong Interest
Four-wheel-drive vehicles are another major attraction at S’hail 2026, with manufacturers and dealers displaying vehicles designed for off-road driving, hunting, falconry and desert trips. Many have been modified with equipment such as tents, compact kitchens, navigation and communications systems.
At the Alfardan stand, Defender models are drawing attention for their off-road capabilities. The Defender Trophy is among the vehicles on display, combining sporty performance with comfort.
The company is also showcasing a high-performance vehicle powered by an eight-cylinder engine producing up to 635 horsepower. It features the 6D Dynamic suspension system, designed to enhance control and comfort across difficult terrain and unpaved roads.
Al Mana Commercial is presenting models with different powertrains combining petrol and electric technologies, alongside modified versions designed for desert, hunting and safari use.
The modified vehicles feature equipment including compact kitchens, integrated tents, outdoor gear, navigation systems and communications equipment, allowing them to serve as mobile units for extended desert trips and overnight stays.
At the Al Tisser GWM stand, visitors can view the Tank 300, Tank 500 and Tank 700, as well as a 2027-model pickup. The company is also displaying modified vehicles aimed at desert users and long-distance travellers, with an emphasis on power, reliability and off-road capability.
Pickup trucks are attracting particular interest because of their space and ability to carry equipment required for outdoor trips.
Qatari Technology Boosts Hunting and Falconry
Local innovation is also prominent at S’hail 2026, with Qatari companies presenting technology and specialised services for hunters, falconers and outdoor enthusiasts.
The DTS “Made in Qatar” stand is showcasing aircraft designed to train and improve the fitness of falcons. The aircraft come in different speeds and ranges and feature smart controls that allow falconers to set speed, altitude and distance according to training requirements.
Among the products on display is the Khazzaz, which reaches a maximum speed of 150 km/h and has a range exceeding 500 metres. The Rabda can reach 120 km/h and has a range of 23 km, while the compact Hafana is designed for easy transport and storage.
DTS is also displaying the Qaffal, an aircraft designed for sea fishing that can carry fishing lines and bait to distant locations. It reaches speeds of up to 65 km/h, has a range of about 2 km and features smart guidance and control systems as well as water-resistant capabilities.
Meanwhile, Thabet is showcasing integrated solutions for equipping desert vehicles, including the installation of communications and navigation systems, GPS devices and other equipment for outdoor enthusiasts.
The participation of these companies highlights the growing diversity of Qatar’s local products and solutions, where technology and field expertise are being combined to serve the evolving needs of hunting, falconry and outdoor pursuits.
