A Ukrainian delegation has reached Oleshky in the Kherson region, where civilian evacuations and humanitarian aid distribution have begun, a Ukrainian parliament official said Friday.
David Arakhamia, chairman of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction, said on Telegram that the ceasefire remained in effect.
Prime Minister Sergii Koretskyi said 527 residents were expected to return to Ukrainian-controlled territory through Belarus, according to Interfax-Ukraine.
Evacuees will undergo medical examinations, receive initial treatment and be provided with essential supplies and accommodation.
A delegation led by Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets travelled to Oleshky on Thursday for the humanitarian mission.
Lubinets said the mission followed an agreement with Russian Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova, with support from US First Lady Melania Trump.
Around 2,000 people remain in Oleshky, under Russian control since February 2022, facing shortages of food, medicine and other essentials.
The temporary ceasefire, agreed to facilitate aid deliveries and evacuations, is scheduled to remain in effect until 10:59 p.m. Moscow time on Nov. 1, according to the Russian side.
