SINGAPORE, Oct. 11: Red Bull’s Max Verstappen claimed his first Singapore Grand Prix victory on Sunday, leading every lap to secure a commanding Formula One win.
Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc finished second, more than seven seconds behind Verstappen, while Mercedes driver Kimi Antonelli took third place.
Verstappen maintained control despite a radio communication problem that prevented him from communicating with his team during the race. Leclerc challenged him in the early stages, but the Red Bull driver gradually extended his advantage.
Antonelli strengthened his position in the drivers’ championship, increasing his lead over Mercedes teammate George Russell to 102 points. Russell finished ninth after starting 19th following grid penalties.
McLaren’s Lando Norris finished fourth, followed by teammate Oscar Piastri in fifth. Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton, driving for Ferrari, dropped to sixth after a late-race battle with Norris and other rivals.
The result marked another strong performance for Verstappen, who has won consecutive races as the 2026 season approaches its closing stages.
The next Formula One race is scheduled in Austin, Texas, where championship contenders will continue their battle for crucial points.
