Gaza, August 10 (QNA) – Twenty-one Palestinians were killed and several others injured today due to Israeli gunfire and shelling targeting people waiting for food aid, as well as homes and tents of displaced people across the Gaza Strip.
Medical sources reported that ten Palestinians were killed in Israeli shelling targeting groups of citizens in the Shujaiya neighborhood east of Gaza City. Other casualties were reported when Israeli aircraft struck a group of citizens on Mushtaha Street in the same area.
Al Shifa Hospital said two citizens and several others were injured after Israeli forces continued bombing and firing at people seeking aid in the Zikim area, northwest of the Gaza Strip, since early this morning.
Two citizens were reported injured and missing under rubble after Israeli aircraft targeted a house in Jabalia Al-Balad, north of the Gaza Strip.
In the central Gaza Strip, Al-Awda Hospital announced that three citizens were killed and several injured when Israeli forces targeted civilians near the aid distribution point on Salah al-Din Street, south of Wadi Gaza. The hospital also reported that two people, including a child, were killed in shelling east of the Al-Bureij refugee camp.
In the southern Gaza Strip, four members of the same family were killed when Israeli shelling hit a tent in the Al Mawasi area west of Khan Yunis. Additional injuries occurred from shelling near the Tiberias area west of the city.
The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza, which began on October 7, 2023, has left 61,369 dead and 152,850 injured, most of them women and children. Over 9,000 remain missing, alongside hundreds of thousands displaced. A severe famine continues to claim many lives amid an unprecedented humanitarian crisis.
