Gaza, May 16 (QNA) – At least 30 Palestinians were martyred and dozens injured early on Friday in a new massacre carried out by Israeli occupation forces in the town of Beit Lahia and Jabalia refugee camp in northern Gaza.
The Palestinian news agency (WAFA) reported that Israeli warplanes targeted more than 10 mostly inhabited homes in Beit Lahia and Jabalia camp, where around 30 bodies were recovered.
Medical sources indicated that the death and injury toll from the Israeli airstrikes in Beit Lahia and Jabalia is expected to rise, due to many people still missing under the rubble and the difficulty rescue and ambulance teams face reaching the targeted areas amid widespread destruction of roads and infrastructure.
This escalation is part of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, which has resulted in approximately 173,000 Palestinians killed or injured – most of them children and women – along with over 11,000 missing, amid catastrophic humanitarian conditions.
