3000 Attends WSIF and KMCC Community Iftar

Doha, Qatar – The Workers Support and Insurance Fund (WSIF) in collaboration with Kerala Muslim Cultural Center (KMCC) successfully organized a grand Iftar meet at the indoor hall of Al-Arabi Sports Club in New Salata on Thursday, 20/3/2025. 3000 persons from various segments of the community attended the mass Iftar gathering arranged in a friendly and brotherly atmosphere.

Commencing at 4 PM, the gathering was graced by the presence of key dignitaries, including Salim Darwish Al-Muhannadi and Khalid Abdulrahman Fakhru representing Workers Support & Insurance Fund and Ministry of Labour. Also in attendance were Muslim League State Secretary Parakkal Abdullah, ICC Advisory Council Chairman PN Babu Raj, along with Kunjammad Perambra and Faisal Hudawi.

Sheikh Zakaria Al-Noori, a representative of Fanar Islamic Center, delivered a special Ramadan message during the event, where the mega attraction was Maghrib Jamat prayer with the participation of 3000 members of the community.

Speaking on the occasion, Representative of WSIF Salim Darwesh Al Muhannadi appreciated the efforts of KMCC for wonderfully organizing the event in a spiritual atmosphere, with complete discipline and he said that this Iftar with participation of 3000 persons is the largest Iftar gathering he attended in Qatar. This kind of events certainly will play a pivotal role in cementing community bonds and personal relationships between community members and Workers Support and Insurance Fund is very much proud in thbis collaboration with KMCC and we look forward in associating with KMCC in future with more programs.

During the event, KMCC State President Dr. Abdus Samad and KMCC leaders such as Afzal Abdul Majeed and Jafar Thayyil were honored for their selection as the chairperson of the Indian Embassy’s apex body ISC advisory council, and as the members of the ICC and ICBF Managing Committees respectively.

The gathering witnessed an enthusiastic participation from KMCC advisory committee members, office bearers, and KMCC members representing various district, area, mandal, panchayat, municipal, and sub-committees. Dr. Bahauddin Hudavi led the prayer, while Nasser Faizi performed the Qiraat. The event began with a warm welcome by General Secretary Salim Nalakath, and Treasurer PSM Hussain delivered the vote of thanks.

Presiding over the function, Dr. Abdus Samad was joined by key advisory committee leaders, including MP Shafi Haji, SAM Basheer, Abdu Nasser Nachi, AV Abubakar Qasimi, CV Khalid, and PV Muhammad Moulavi. State office bearers PK Abdu Rahim, TTK Basheer, Adam Kunji, Siddique Vazhakad, Ajmal Nabeel, Ashraf Aralam, Ali Murayur, Tahir Thaha Kutty, VTM Sadiq, Salman Elayadam, Sameer Muhammad, Faisal Keloth, and Shamsuddin Vanimel also played pivotal roles in organizing the event.

The grand Iftar meet highlighted the commitment of the WSIF and KMCC Qatar as well towards community welfare and unity, reinforcing the spirit of Ramadan through meaningful engagement and collaboration.
