MIRPUR ( AJK): Sept. 10 ( APP): Entire journalist community of Mirpur continued their protest the second consecutive day on Tuesday against alleged fake cases registered against certain of Mirpur journalists and the arrest of senior journalist Zafar Mughal by local police in the case.

The protestors staged a protest rally from Kashmir Press Club to Chowk Shaheedan.

The participants of the procession demanded the immediate release of journalist Zafar Mughal and demanding a high level inquiry from the Prime Minister of Azad Jammu Kashmir Chaudhry Anwar-ul-Haq.

The furious journalists raised slogans against the reprisals and ill-treatment and said that it was proved that the community would stand united and fight for their rights.

“Journalists cannot be intimidated through blackmailing, speakers including Kashmir Press Club President Syed Abid Hussain Shah said that the journalistic community of Mirpur will continue its vigorous protest till acceptance of their demands. ENDS / APP / AHR.
