دیکھ کر مجھ کو جو ہنسا ہوگا
کوئی ناقد یا وہ گدھا ہوگا
رکھ دو اخبار کیا لکھا ہوگا
پھر کوئی شہر جل گیا ہوگا
حاکمِ وقت آپ جو ٹھہرے
آپ کہتے ہیں تو بجا ہوگا
راستہ گھر کا بھول بیٹھا ہوں
ڈائری میں مرا پتہ ہوگا
لے کے محفل میں مستعار زباں
گنگ کیا خوب بولتا ہوگا
تم ہمارے ہو ، ہم تمہارے ہیں
لوحِ محفوظ پر لکھا ہوگا
میں فقط احترام کرتا ہوں
آپ لوگوں کا وہ خدا ہوگا
