MIRPUR  ( AJK  ): October  19: Engr.  Afzal Ziai

President, Kashmir Freedom Movement (KFM) has said the martyrdom of Yahya Sinwar, the political bureau chief of Hamas, is a profound loss for all those who stand for justice, freedom, and resistance against forced  and unlawful occupation.

Talking to newsmen here on Saturday, the Kashmiri  leader said thar Sinwar was not just a leader; he was a symbol of resilience and defiance. His unwavering commitment to the Palestinian cause, even after enduring more than two decades of imprisonment in Israeli jails, speaks volumes about his courage and dedication. The martyred leadet led his fighters from the front, embracing the battlefield in the face of overwhelming odds, and ultimately sacrificed his life for the liberation of his people, Ziai added.

The KFM chief continued that the tragic irony of Sinwar martyrdom lies in the blatant hypocrisy of world leaders, particularly those in the Muslim world and the Western powers, who claim to champion human rights while turning a blind eye to the genocide being committed against Palestinians. These same governments, who speak of democracy and justice, are complicit in the atrocities perpetrated by Israel, Ziai said.

” By providing weapons, financial support, and political cover, they enable the systematic slaughter of innocent men, women, and children in Gaza. How can the so-called ‘leaders of the free world’ and the custodians of human rights justify the brutal occupation and ongoing ethnic cleansing of Palestinians? Their silence and complicity make them partners in these war crimes”, he said.

Yahya Sinwar, the Kashmiri leader  said while paying rich tributes to the departed  soul, was not just a hero of Palestine, but a hero for all freedom-loving nations. His fight is the same fight being waged by oppressed people across the world, including Kashmir. The blood of Palestinian martyrs flows in solidarity with the blood of Kashmiris, both struggling under brutal occupations, both facing repression and denial of their right to self-determination. The bond between Kashmir and Palestine is one of shared pain, shared resistance, and shared hope for freedom.

He said that just as the Israeli regime seeks to erase Palestinian identity and control their land, so too does the Indian regime in Kashmir, with the full backing of world powers that prioritize geopolitical interests over human rights. Yet, no force can extinguish the desire for freedom that lives in the hearts of the oppressed. Yahya Sinwar’s martyrdom is a reminder to all those fighting for justice—whether in Palestine, Kashmir, or anywhere else—that the struggle for freedom comes with immense sacrifice, but it is also the ultimate path to dignity and peace, he added.

Ziai said “we salute Yahya Sinwar as a hero of the oppressed, a martyr for freedom, and a beacon of resistance. His legacy will continue to inspire all those who fight for justice and liberation from tyranny.
