DOHA:Doha resident Dr.Amanulla Vadakkangara has won the C.H.Muhammed Koya Smaraka Puraskaram instituted by the India based CH Muhammed Koya Memorial committee. The award in appreciation of his commendable contributions for promoting Arabic language and literature.

The award was presented to him by the son of CH Muhammed Koya and a former minister of Kerala Dr.M.K.Muneer MLA in the presence of an array of prominent personalities including former mps K.Muraleedharan MLA, Pannian Ravindran, K. Peethambarakurup .
Dr.Amanulla Vadakkangara, a former head of Arabic and Islamic studies at Ideal Indian school was responsible for introducing Arabic as a second language in the CBSE schools in Qatar. His spoken Arabic books have helped thousands of expatriates to communicate.
Amanulla’s initiatives to promote Arabic language and literature in the form of books and classes were praiseworthy, the jury observed
