Moscow, November 15 (QNA) – Russia’s Ministry of Defense announced Friday that its air defenses successfully intercepted 51 Ukrainian drones overnight.
In a statement, the ministry reported that its air defense systems shot down 36 drones over the Krasnodar region, three over Crimea, two over Belgorod, and ten over the Sea of Azov.
Meanwhile, Ukraine’s emergency services reported at least one fatality from a large-scale Russian attack overnight in the southern city of Odesa. According to an announcement on Telegram, the attack left one person dead and ten injured, including two children.
Odesa regional governor Oleh Kiper reported that a residential building in central Odesa was destroyed, with fires breaking out in apartments, damaged high-rise buildings, and about 30 vehicles affected by the Russian assault.
Both Russia and Ukraine continue to claim daily drone interceptions targeting each other’s territories, part of the ongoing conflict that began in February 2022.
