Amman, December 12 (QNA) – King Abdullah II of Jordan discussed, in a phone call with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz today, ways to enhance bilateral relations and the latest developments in the Middle East.
During the call, the Jordanian monarch pointed out the importance of preserving Syria’s security, stability and institutions, stressing the need to intensify international efforts to stop the Israeli aggression on Gaza, and to double efforts to deliver humanitarian aid and ensure its arrival to the residents of the Strip without objection or delay.
He also warned of the dangerous escalation in the West Bank, including extremist settlers’ attacks on Palestinians, and violations of Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
Regarding developments in Lebanon, the Jordanian monarch called for exerting various efforts to ensure the success of the ceasefire.
