Ankara, January 06 (QNA) – Turkish Foreign Minister, Hakan Fidan, met in Ankara with his Jordanian counterpart, Ayman Al Safadi, to discuss the situation in the region, particularly in Syria and the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
During a joint press conference on Monday, the two ministers underscored the importance of stability in Syria, its reconstruction, unity and independence, and agreed on setting a road map to provide support to the people of Syria.
Turkish Foreign Minister stated that both sides are exerting intensive efforts to halt the aggression on Gaza.
For his part, Jordanian Foreign Minister emphasized that his country stands in support of Syria to ensure its rights and restoring its security, stability, sovereignty and unity, reiterating Jordan’s rejection of the Israeli onslaught on the Syrian territories which is a clear breach of international law and sovereignty.
Regarding the Palestinian cause, Al Safadi noted that Jordan diligently works to end the catastrophe facing the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, stressing the importance of ceasing both the aggression on the Strip and the Israeli violations in the West Bank
