Doha, January 20 (QNA) – The Ministry of Interior (MOI) has celebrated the graduation of the seventh batch of cadets from the Police College, a landmark achievement that underscores the institution’s significant role in shaping the future of law enforcement in Qatar. Officials expressed their pride in the Police Academy, which has become a distinguished institution recognized internationally for its high standards in policing education and training.
HE Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Faisal bin Mohammed Al-Thani, Minister of State for Interior Affairs, lauded the success of the Police College, highlighting its pivotal role in the development of highly skilled police officers. His Excellency emphasized the transformation of the Police College into a renowned academy, capable of preparing officers with expertise in legal, police, and military sciences. Within a few years, the academy has successfully trained police officers equipped to perform diverse tasks for the Ministry of Interior in various security and humanitarian roles. The graduation of this batch symbolizes the culmination of their academic journey and marks the beginning of their careers in serving the country with competence and dedication.
Expressing his pride in the achievements of the Police College, HE Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Faisal bin Mohammed Al-Thani stressed that the academy’s success lies in its ability to provide graduates who are well-prepared to handle complex security challenges. He acknowledged the significant contributions of the previous six batches to the Ministry of Interior and noted that this new group of graduates would continue to add to the institution’s success.
HE Abdullah bin Khalaf bin Hattab Al Kaabi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, echoed similar sentiments, highlighting that the graduation aligns with the Ministry’s mission to establish leadership at both regional and international levels. His Excellency emphasized the importance of equipping young professionals with the necessary skills to maintain security stability, protect lives and property, and support the country’s progress. He also noted that the Ministry continuously seeks to match the pace of Qatar’s overall development by training and preparing its youth to serve in crucial roles across various security departments.
Major General Dr. Abdullah Yousef Al Mal, Legal Advisor and General Supervisor of the Police Academy, expressed his congratulations to the graduates, commending the Ministry’s comprehensive development in security, educational, and training sectors. He reiterated the importance of steady progress in achieving the Ministry’s strategic goals to ensure that society benefits from a safe and secure environment.
Major General Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Suwaidi, Assistant Undersecretary for Technical and Specialized Affairs, also congratulated the graduates, highlighting the critical role the Police Academy plays in developing specialized security leaders. He emphasized that the Ministry’s priority is to enhance the qualifications and training of its human resources, as it is essential for addressing the evolving security landscape.
HE Sheikh Nayef bin Faleh bin Saud Al-Thani, Assistant Undersecretary for Security Affairs, took pride in the progress of the Police Academy, especially its success in continuously improving its curricula. His Excellency highlighted the Academy’s ability to develop highly qualified police officers, noting that the academic institution’s efforts have led to the creation of exceptional security cadres capable of performing their duties with efficiency and professionalism. Sheikh Nayef also expressed his gratitude for the unwavering support the Academy receives from HE Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al-Thani, Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), who serves as Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Police Academy.
Major General Mohammed Jassim Al Sulaiti, Director General of Public Security, extended his congratulations to the graduating cadets, acknowledging their commitment and hard work over the four years of study and training. He stressed that the Police College has always aimed to attract and cultivate young talent with strong minds and determination to serve the nation. He emphasized that the Ministry of Interior’s trust in these graduates is a reflection of their potential to make significant contributions to the country’s security.
Brigadier Abdulrahman Majid Al Sulaiti, Chairman of the Police Academy, highlighted the Ministry of Interior’s commitment to building an advanced and integrated security system, which prioritizes human efficiency and institutional development. His Excellency stated that the Police Academy remains a key component of this strategy, as it is dedicated to preparing officers capable of tackling the latest security challenges. Lieutenant Colonel Fahad Saeed Al Subaie, Deputy Chairman of the Police Academy and Director of the Police College, reflected on the significance of this graduation, stressing that it marks another milestone in the Academy’s ongoing pursuit of excellence and professionalism. He noted that the Police College has now graduated six successful batches of officers who have proven themselves in the field of security. The latest batch is expected to continue the legacy of their predecessors by applying their skills to enhance national security and stability.
