DOHA: Arabic for CBSE school , a new text book series for Arabic prepared by Doha resident and former head of the department of Arabic and Islamic Studies of Ideal Indian School Doha Dr.Amanulla Vadakkangara was released by the well known historian and the former vice chancellor of Calicut University Dr. K.K.N.kurupp at an international seminar on Arabic linguistics held at Calicut University
Dr. Mariyan Al Shenasi, a well known author from UAE and the CEO of Sharja based Al Yasmeen Publishing and distribution company received the first copy of the series.
An array of prominent personalities including the vice chancellor of Kalady Sanskrit University Dr. Geetha Kumari, Principal of Farook College Dr. Aysha Swapna, Head of the department of Arabic at Calicut University Dr. T.A.Abdul Majeed, head of the department of Malayalam Dr RVM Divakaran, Secretary of principals consortium Dr. I.P.Abdul Salam, Associate professor of Sulthan Qaboos University Oman Dr.Khalid Al Kindi, and Dr. Ali Noufal, associate professor and chief coordinator of the conference.
The text book series is being published by Edumart Plus, Kerala leading educational publishers and distributors
Speaking on the occasion managing director of Edumart plus explained that this is a series of 8 books meant for Classs 1 to 8 and follows modern language principles.
Dr. Amanulla Vadakkangara is a veteran teacher and author who has the honour of introducing Arabic as a second language in Indian Schools in Qatar
