Tickets for the high-voltage India-Pakistan Champions Trophy match on February 23 sold out in just over an hour after opening on Monday. Reports indicate over 140,000 fans queued online, leading to immediate unavailability across most categories.
While tickets for India’s other games against Bangladesh (Feb 20) and New Zealand (March 2) remained available for hours, the first semi-final in Dubai (March 4) also saw a quick sellout. Physical tickets for matches in Pakistan are available across 108 locations in 26 cities.
Champions Trophy final tickets, for the March 9 clash, will go on sale after the semi-finals. The two-week event features the world’s top eight teams battling for the title, which Pakistan will defend.
