Qatar condemns attack on UNIFIL convoy near Beirut Airport

Doha, February 15 (QNA) – The State of Qatar condemned the attack on the convoy of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) near Beirut Airport, calling it a clear violation of international law.
In a statement on Saturday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized Qatar’s firm opposition to any attacks on peacekeeping forces, which are vital in ensuring security and stability in Lebanon.
The ministry also called for an immediate investigation by Lebanese authorities and for those responsible to be held accountable.
The Ministry expressed the State of Qatar’s full solidarity with the Republic of Lebanon in its efforts to safeguard its security and stability, reaffirming its support for UNIFIL’s mission in carrying out its duties as mandated by relevant UN resolutions.
