Riyadh, February 27 (QNA) – Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has strongly condemned the attacks launched by the Israeli occupation forces on several locations in Syria, considering them a blatant violation of international agreements and laws, and threaten the security and stability of the region.
Secretary General of the GCC, Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi stated that these repeated attacks by the Israeli occupation forces confirm their persistent approach in undermining peace opportunities and destabilising the region.
Furthermore, he underscored the importance of the international community taking urgent and decisive action to put an end to these blatant violations and prevent the exacerbation of tensions that threaten regional and international security.
Albudaiwi affirmed what was stated in the statement issued by the 46th Extraordinary Ministerial Meeting of the GCC, which condemned the repeated Israeli attacks on the brotherly Syrian Arab Republic, including its occupation of the buffer zone on the Syrian border, in a clear violation of Syrian sovereignty and the Disengagement Agreement concluded in 1974.
He stressed the need for the Israeli occupation forces to withdraw from all occupied Syrian territories and respect all relevant Security Council resolutions.
