Gaza, March 21 (QNA) – The Israeli occupation army expanded its ground incursion into three areas of the Gaza Strip, as it resumed its war of extermination on Tuesday.
Israeli forces advanced along Netzarim corridor, reaching Salah al-Din Street the main road connecting northern and southern Gaza as well as into Shaboura refugee camp in Rafah, south of the Strip, and northwest of Beit Lahia in the north.
Troops pushed eastward along Netzarim corridor, reaching Salah al-Din Street while simultaneously opening fire on anyone attempting to move along the coastal Rasheed Street, effectively re-establishing the division between northern Gaza and the central and southern regions.
Amid this ground offensive, the Israeli army also mobilized its forces stationed along Philadelphi Corridor and launched a new ground operation in Rafah. Reports indicate that Israeli troops entered Shaboura neighborhood near the Philadelphi Corridor, demolishing infrastructure in the area.
On Thursday, the Israeli army initiated a third ground operation along the coast of Beit Lahia in northern Gaza, accompanied by intense airstrikes targeting multiple areas of the Strip. This Friday morning, Israeli armored vehicles expanded their incursion in the area in a limited advance, supported by gunfire and artillery shelling.
Israel resumed its aggression on Gaza at dawn last Tuesday, breaking a two-month ceasefire agreement that had been in place since January 19. Throughout this period, the occupation repeatedly violated the ceasefire terms by continuing airstrikes across the Strip, resulting in casualties, rejecting humanitarian protocols, and intensifying its suffocating blockade on Gaza, where an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe is unfolding.
