Washington—The U.S. Department of Defense and tech billionaire Elon Musk have strongly denied reports suggesting that the Pentagon arranged a top-secret briefing for Musk regarding potential war plans with China. The claims, initially published by The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal, have been refuted by multiple officials.
Pentagon Chief Spokesman Sean Parnell called the reports “completely fake” and “egregiously false,” emphasizing that Musk’s scheduled visit to the Pentagon was for discussions on innovation and production efficiencies, not military strategies against China. Former U.S. President Donald Trump also dismissed the allegations, stating that China would not be a subject of the meeting.
Elon Musk himself responded to the reports, calling them “false information” and urging the prosecution of those responsible for leaking misleading details. The New York Post also cited Pentagon sources confirming that no classified military strategies related to China were to be shared with Musk.
