Britain – based NGO Muslim Hands unveils broad-based Free Health Cover program for needy sick humanity on WHD in AJK

MIRPUR (AJK): April 8 : UK-based World-fame NGO Muslim Hands has, on the eve of World Health Day, resolved to intensify its efforts to improve the health facilities in Azad Jammu Kashmir including this district of over a million of expatriates, to make it more familiar among the needy ailing humanity, it was officially said.

The Media Manager Muslim Hands Mirpur Raja Qamar Atta, while highlighting salient features of the welfare Program, told our Special Jammu Kashmir state Correspondent Altaf Hamid Rao here on Tuesday that his organisation was providing basic health facilities to thousands of beneficiaries through its programs like eye treatment, free eye surgical camps, health units and free pharmacies for patients in different areas of Azad Jammu Kashmir.

” Muslim Hands has established eye treatment units in Bangrila Islamgarh, Dadial, Sahansa, Hajira, Tarar Khul and Samahni in Azad Jammu Kashmir where eye treatment and medicines are provided to the local population”, he revealed adding that thousands of patients were treated for various eye diseases and vision problems through these units.

He co tinued that in order to provide latest health facilities to deserving low-income class including poor, downtrodden, Muslim Hands has also established Muslim Hands Health Units in Ghazi Garh, Chhawa and Patni areas near the Line of Control, where patients are regularly checked up and medicines are provided to them, he underlined.

” Muslim Hands is also providing dog bite medicines at its pharmacy in Sahansa besides managing free general medical camps for registered orphan children in Mirpur Azad Jammu Kashmir and its surroundings for the free of cost delivery of best health facilities to the orphan children ofcall ages. he underlined.

Qamar further said that Muslim Hands also frequently organizes dozens of free eye surgical camps in different areas of Azad Jammu Kashmir every year. Where expert teams of eyecspecialists conduct free check-ups and operations on patients. “These patients are provided free medicines, he added.

The PR Manager revealed that in the past years, thousands of patients were provided with facilities like free operations through these free eye camps managed by the Muslim Hands which also established a free pharmacy at DHQ Hospital Mirpur for disbursement of free medicines to poor and needy patients. “These facilities have proven to be unprecedented service to the ailong humanity particularly for patients, unable to afford expensive medicines, he concluded.
