MIRPUR (AJK): April 10 (APP): Former UK city – Luton’s Kashmir-origin Lady Mayor Ms. Sumaira Khurshid has been elected as the President of the Women’s wing of Chib Rajput Council Pakistan for a period of next three years constitutional period, it was officially said.

According to an official notification issued by Chairman Chib Rajput Council Pakistan, Raja Younas Yaqoob Khan, after the approval of
the Core Committee CRC, has elected Ms. Sumaira Khurshid, former Mayor of Luton, UK, currently
residing in Mirpur District, Azad Kashmir, as the President of the Women’s wing of Chib Rajput Council
as per the constitution, says a press statement issued by the CRC Organization’s media wing here on Thursday.

Sumaira belongs to a prominent academic, political and socially known reputed Kashmiri family of Mirpur District. The postgraduate in law is working on grand projects for the welfare of the public in addition to her vibrant social and political activities centric to uplift of the sivk humanity in the region, according to the PR.

Social and political circles including the CRC community have welcomed the election of a seasoned scholarly, practically working renowned public figure to the fold of Chib Rajput Council as president of women wing of the CRC, it added.
