MIRPUR ( AJK): April 11: Commissioner Mirpur Division Chaudhry Mukhtar Hussain has ordered for the immediate suspension of Patwari Abdul Karim of the Revenue Department, Bhimber District, from service under the Service Rules Act 1977 for allegedly transferring 361 kanals of land in Bhimber District to Abdul Rashid through fake and fictitious personal choice for vested interests, it was officially said.
“On preliminary investigation and hearing report, the Patwari was found guilty and suspended from service with immediate affect under the Service Rules Act 1977”, Commissioner office Spokesperson told our Special Jammu and Kashmir state Correspondent Altaf Hamid Rao here on Friday.
Additional Commissioner Mirpur Division Ch. Haq Nawaz has been appointed as the inquiry officer for a transparent and impartial investigation against the accused Patwari, the spokesperson said.
According to the details, Commissioner Mirpur Division Chaudhry Mukhtar Hussain heard a wrot petition lodged by Muhammad Ijaz, etc., resident of Pahiyona Mor Tehsil and Bhimber District, lodging complaint that Patwari Abdul Karim, Bhimber District, through a fake and fictitious personal selection, misused his powers by transferring a land of 361 kanals 15 marla located at Kas Chintar Tehsil and Bhimber District to his brother, real name Abdul Rashid, son of Ghulam Ahmed, etc., and punish him by taking legal action against him.
“When the complant were heard, it was found that reports have been prepared by the Assistant Commissioner Barnala and the Extra Assistant Commissioner Bhimber after investigation and hearing in this matter, according to which disciplinary action was recommended against the said Patwari, declaring him guilty”, according to the official spokesperson.
Thus, prima facie, the complanant’s request was found to be based on facts and since the act of the said Patwari was punishable as he violated the rules of service, administration and official discipline.
“Therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by the Azad Jammu and Kashmir Government Servants (Discipline and Order) Rules, 1977, disciplinary action was taken against Abdul Karim Patwari, currently posted in Bhimber District, for illegal transfer of land in Shamilat Deh, Village Kas Chintar, suspending him from service on the charges of misuse of powers, against the rules and regulations”, the suspension order said.
“In order to make the investigation process transparent, impartial and independent, the said Patwari is hereby suspended from service with immediate effect”, the order said adding that in view of the seriousness of the allegations, the Additional Commissioner Mirpur Division Ch. Haq Nawaz is hereby appointed as the Inquiry Officer, who shall be bound to submit final recommendations within the stipulated time frame to ensure the completion of the inquiry for further legal proceeding, the spokesperson added quoting the order.
