Chinese Embassy in Qatar Rings in Lunar New Year with Dignitaries, Celebrates Decade of Strong Bilateral Ties

on  Monday, the Chinese embassy in Doha celebrated the Spring Festival and the Chinese Lunar New Year with the participation of several senior Qatari officials, leaders from various diplomatic missions, and members of the Chinese community. Ambassador Cao Xiaolin expressed his gratitude to the Qatari community for their unwavering support in strengthening bilateral relations.

The following dignitaries attended the event:

The Ambassador, who arrived in Qatar on January 2nd, highlighted the nation’s prosperity, safety, and active diplomacy during his month-long engagement. He celebrated the 10th anniversary of the strategic partnership, emphasizing deepened trust and economic cooperation, with China now Qatar’s largest trading partner.

Despite global challenges, the Ambassador expressed confidence in a shared global community of peace and prosperity, highlighting China’s contributions to peace talks and economic stability. China’s commitment to open development, notably through initiatives like the Belt and Road Forum, showcased its role in global economic recovery.

Looking ahead, the Ambassador pledged to implement agreements made during successful high-level meetings, aligning the Belt and Road Initiative with Qatar National Vision 2030. He anticipated the Chinese Lunar New Year as an opportunity to enhance exchanges with Qatari friends and sought continued support for friendly relations.
