Fifth Generation War aims at vanquishing human minds: Analyst H. Shaheen Alvi observes

MIRPUR (AJK): April 25: “Fifth Generation War (5GW) aims at vanquishing human minds, disabling them to act or fight for the defence of their cherished socio-political-ideological order or societal values that sustain a national society. In the 5GW the battlefield is human mind, brain, intellect and collective psyche of a given society”, said Hameed Shaheen Alvi, a veteran Kashmiri intelectual and ex-Media Adviser to AJK government.

In an informal chat with this Correspondent here Alvi, famous for psycho-research mindset, stated that the post WW-II era is dominated by the tactics of 5GW warfare focusing on achieving collapse of a social-economic-ideological order of the targeted country/region or a group of countries without borders. In this war sheer propaganda- looking-factualism is released in all the secretive means to influence the population of the targeted national society. Concepts of life and acts of functions are completely re-defined, instilled in the human minds.

Brain is treated as enemy/target number one and is washed with desired meanings and definitions. For instance, he explained, the inspirational strength and sustainability of Pakistani society is its Islamic ideology that is quite capable to keep the social, political, demographic forces, elements in a grand togetherness, and if this life ideology is attacked that is to confuse first the whole society, its people and then orchestrate its collapse.

And it was exactly that negative scenario in which former East Pakistan, its people and its cultural-political life was engulfed that could not be countered in time, resulting finally in tragic dismemberment of Pakistan, he regretted.

Ex-Adviser strongly suggested that national youth of Pakistan/Azad Kashmir must be acquainted with the secretive dangers of 5GW warfare enacted by ill-wishers from outside or from anywhere. Special refresher teaching courses should be held in educational institutions from 10th class to the post-graduate levels and Pakistan armed forces ideas experts should deliver lectures.

Bosses of the national social, print and visual media should be briefed on the possible negativism of this propaganda called 5GW, he concluded.
