Gaza, April 28 (QNA) – Seventeen civilians, including children, were killed and several others injured in Israeli occupation airstrikes across the Gaza Strip on Monday.
Medical sources said that six Palestinians – including two brothers, two children, and a woman – were killed this afternoon in a shelling of a residential house in Khan Yunis, south of the enclave. In Gaza City, 11 people, including four children, were killed.
This takes today’s death toll to approximately 38, 30 of them in Gaza City and the northern Gaza Strip.
Earlier today, the Ministry of Health announced that the death toll from the Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip had risen to 52,314 martyrs since the start of the genocide on October 7, 2023. The injuries were estimated at 17,792.
On January 15, 2025, a ceasefire deal was announced after months of negotiations led by the State of Qatar, Egypt, and the United States. However, Israeli occupation forces resumed their onslaught on March 18, killing so far 2,222 civilians and injuring 5,751 others.
Medical sources and eyewitnesses say that many victims were still under the rubble and bodies were scattered on the streets with ambulances and civil defense crews unable to reach them.
