OSAKA – Nearly three weeks into Expo 2025, Japan’s global exposition in Osaka has begun drawing international attention with millions visiting to witness cutting-edge innovations, cultural diversity, and sustainable solutions for the future.
Held on Yumeshima Island and running through October 13, the six-month mega event is themed “Designing Future Society for Our Lives.” With over 160 participating nations and organizations, it offers immersive experiences in clean energy, digital health, and smart living environments.
The expo’s centerpiece, a 2-kilometer circular wooden structure called the “Grand Ring,” has become a symbol of connection and innovation. Visitors are especially drawn to AI-powered displays, climate action exhibits, and futuristic mobility solutions. Educational activities for youth and families have also made the event accessible to a wider audience.
Japan, hosting the Expo for the first time in over five decades, has emphasized environmental responsibility. The site integrates solar power, recycling systems, and eco-conscious architecture highlighting how international collaboration can respond to global challenges.
Although a few national pavilions faced early delays, the event is now fully operational, with daily attendance growing steadily. Local Japanese businesses are reporting a tourism boom, and international dialogue on trade, health, and technology has gained momentum.
While Pakistan’s pavilion presence has been more modest, the country’s art, cuisine, and innovation exhibits continue to attract interest, offering a window into its cultural and developmental journey.
