DOHA, May 15 – The Uttar Pradesh Welfare Association of Qatar (UPWA) organized a blood donation drive on May 15, 2025, at the Qatar National Blood Donation Center in Doha. The event, held as part of the association’s commitment to social responsibility, saw enthusiastic participation from the community, with over 100 attendees and 30 generous donors.
Ziauddin Ahmad, President of UPWA, emphasized the importance of maintaining a safe and sufficient blood supply, stating, “Ensuring the availability of safe and sufficient blood supply is a national priority, and the community is committed to this important cause.”
Junaid Khan, General Secretary of UPWA, expressed gratitude to all the donors for their contributions, while Asif Khan, Vice President, highlighted the significance of blood donation in saving lives.
The event also saw active support from the management committee members, including Faisal Naseem, Jawed Sultan, Khalid Khan, Syed Farhan Jilani, and Yusha Siddiqui. Several community leaders participated in the initiative, including Shadab Khan, Kulwinder Singh, President of Singh Sewa Dal, and RJ Gaurav of Radio Mirchi, who also donated blood.
