ہم ترا پیار بنے پھرتے ہیں
آئینہ وار بنے پھرتے ہیں

ہم ترے بعد اس جدائی میں
غم کی دیوار بنے پھرتے ہیں

لوگ پوچھیں ہمارے بارے میں
یوں پُراسرار بنے پھرتے ہیں

کان کٹتے ہیں اُن کی باتوں سے
لفظ تلوار بنے پھرتے ہیں

ہائے اک شخص کی محبت کے
ہم طلبگار بنے پھرتے ہیں

ایسے گھائل ہیں تیری الفت میں
ہم عزادار بنے پھرتے ہیں

ان کو تمثیلہ دے ذرا آواز
جو مددگار بنے پھرتے ہیں
