Doha, June 04 (QNA) – The State of Qatar expressed its sincere congratulations to the sisterly Kingdom of Bahrain on its election as a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council for the period of 2026-2027.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed in a statement on Wednesday that Bahrain’s victory reflects the international community’s confidence in its ability to contribute to enhancing security, stability, and peace regionally and internationally, in accordance with the principles and objectives of the UN Charter and the provisions of international law.
The Ministry expressed the State of Qatar’s wishes for the Kingdom of Bahrain’s success in serving Arab causes and harnessing its relations with UN member states, particularly those in the Middle East, to follow up on the implementation of Security Council resolutions related to resolving conflicts in the region.
