Tehran, June 17 (QNA) – Iranian Health Minister Mohammad Reza Zafarghandi announced that the number of people injured in recent Israeli attacks on Iranian territory has reached 1,800.
Zafarghandi told Tasnim news agency that the overwhelming majority of the victims were ordinary civilians with no connection to any military activity.
The Iranian Health Minister noted that yesterday’s Quds Square explosion killed 12 civilians, including a pregnant woman, and injured 59 others. He noted that the blast also caused significant damage due to the explosion of water lines in the area.
He added that what happened in Quds Square confirms the falsity of the Zionist entity’s claims that it does not target civilians. The opposite is true. This war directly targets the Iranian people.
He indicated that among the wounded were 60 women, and 15 were under the age of 20, including a 4-year-old child. The number of women killed was 35, and the number of children was 10.
Since Friday dawn, the Israeli entity has been launching attacks on areas in the Iranian capital, Tehran, with several residential buildings being bombed in these attacks.
