Muscat, June 23 (QNA) – Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman discussed over the phone on Monday, with King Abdullah II of Jordan, ways to de-escalate the dangerous situation in the region, especially following the recent US attacks on Iran.
During the call, the two sides stressed the need for concerted regional and international efforts and intensified coordination to de-escalate and extinguish the flames of war, both in the Gaza Strip and related to the ongoing conflict resulting from the Israeli aggression against Iran.
They also stressed the importance of returning to the peaceful path of dialogue and negotiation to ensure political solutions to all issues and crises based on the principles of international law, ensuring security and stability throughout the region and sparing its peoples from risks and repercussions.
