MIRPUR ( AJK); July 22: In a successful Crackdown against a group of alleged vagabonds launched by Police of New City Mirpur, rounded up a group of bandit involved in lifting of a rented Rs
20 million worth luxerious Prado vehicle here on Tuesday besides recovering the stolen vehicle, police said.
SHO Police Station New City Mirpur Muhammad Arshad Chaudhry along with his team unearthed the accused involvedin the car lifting through taking it on rent, Station House Officer New City P/S later told our Special Jammu Kashmir state Correspondent Altaf Hamid Rao here on Tuesday.
The arrested accused allegedly belonged to the notorious groups and the investigations have been started soon after their arrests.
The accused including Muneeb Farooq, son of Muhammad Farooq, a Rajput resident of Sector F, New City Mirpur, was involved in a car-lifting was arrested from Barnala in Bhimber District.
On the basis of further probe of the arrested accused, the second accomplice of the accused and master mind Faisal alias Faisi Zafarwal, was arrested from Sialkot. Muhammad Faisal, son of Muhammad Mehrban, a Jaat resident of Ballah, Mirpur, was arrested from the limits of Zafarwal police station in Sialkot, the police officer said.
On the basis of further quéry of the accused, a vehicle worth Rs 20 million was recovered from the den of the alleged notorious accused Gulrez Khan from Model Town, Rawalpindi, he said.
On detailed probe, the accused Faisal alias Faisi revealed that two vehicles, Honda vehicles, were purchased from the limits of the City Mirpur police station on GLI rent and sold to the accused Gulrez Khan.
Among the absconding accused belonging to this group is one Raja Irfan alias Tony, the SHO said adding that the police was making every possible effort to arrest Gulrez Khan, whose arrest will be made soon.
Meanwhile, people have been advised to thoroughly check and verify their valuable vehicles before renting them out to avert the threat of any major loss of snatchin, lifting of the vehicles.
” Such bandits do not deserve any concessions and they will be brought to justice”, he added.
