Makkah Al Mukarramah, August 19 (QNA) – The Muslim World League (MWL) has strongly condemned the storming of one of the settlements in occupied Palestinian territory by the Prime Minister of the Israeli occupation government, along with his provocative remarks on Palestinian statehood, as well as what he called ‘holding on to the land’.
MWL stressed that this act represents a continuation of the occupation government’s policy characterized by provocation and disdain for international legitimacy, as well as the deliberate undermining of opportunities for a ceasefire and the establishment of peace.
In a statement from the MWL General Secretariat, Secretary-General of the MWL and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al Issa, reiterated the MWL’s call on all justice- and peace-loving nations to act swiftly to rescue the Palestinian people and to seize the historic opportunity to end this horrific war by enforcing the two-state solution and a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace in the region.
The statement emphasized that this must be done as part of endorsing the final document of the Saudi Arabia-France high-level international conference on the peaceful settlement of the Palestinian issue and the implementation of the two-state solution.
It highlighted that this comes amid the calamitous situation in the Palestinian territories, the drawn-out violations perpetrated by an extremist government that has persisted in its crimes to the point that they have become a perilous threat to the region and the international community, posing the major impediment to the peace that is sought by all.
