The Royal Thai Embassy in Doha Launches “Thai Restaurant Week 2025: A Culinary Journey in Qatar”

Doha, 21 August 2025 – The Royal Thai Embassy officially launched Thai Restaurant Week 2025: A Thai Culinary Journey in Qatar, a ten-day celebration highlighting Thailand’s rich culinary heritage, in collaboration with 13 distinguished Thai restaurants across Qatar. The launch event, held at Isaan Restaurant, Grand Hyatt Doha Hotel, welcomed over 100 guests, including representatives from Qatari governmental agencies, members of the diplomatic corps, private sector leaders, media personnel, and prominent social media influencers. Guests were treated to live food tastings and traditional cultural performances, offering a glimpse of the flavors and experiences awaiting diners throughout Thai Restaurant Week 2025.
H.E. Mr. Sira Swangsilpa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the State of Qatar, shared the vision behind the initiative: “This project goes beyond dining. It aims to inspire a passion for Thai cuisine, celebrate the creativity of Thai restaurants in Qatar, and foster meaningful cultural exchange between our two countries. Thai food is an integral part of our cultural identity, and through this festival, we hope to bring people together, create shared experiences, and highlight the longstanding friendship between our nations. The Royal Thai Embassy remains committed to promoting Thai food and culture in Qatar, in partnership with our local restaurants and with the support of our Qatari friends. Through these efforts, we also contribute to Qatar’s cultural diversity and strengthen the bonds of friendship between our peoples.”
About Thai Restaurant Week 2025
Running from 21–31 August 2025, Thai Restaurant Week 2025 is Qatar’s first nationwide Thai food festival. Each of the 13 participating restaurants offers specially crafted menus at three price points: QAR 39, QAR 59, and QAR 89. These menus highlight signature dishes that capture the bold, diverse, and harmonious flavors of Thai cuisine, catering to every taste—whether spicy, savory, or sweet. The festival also provides an opportunity for chefs to showcase their culinary artistry and for guests to explore authentic Thai flavors in a uniquely immersive setting.
Public Engagement and Prizes
Diners are encouraged to share their experiences on social media using the hashtag #ThaiWeekQatar. Selected participants will have the opportunity to win exclusive prizes, including dining vouchers from Boba Chill Café, Chx N Rise, Isaan, Pochana Thai, Khaosan, Thai Aroi, Saffron, Thai Kitchen, Thai Snack, and Tuk Tuk Saigon, as well as luxury hospitality experiences at Zulal Wellness Resort by Chiva-Som, Waldorf Astoria Bangkok, and Diamond Cliff Resort & Spa Phuket.
