Moscow, August 24, 2025 — Russian forces struck a Ukrainian missile storage site and a drone production facility, the Defense Ministry announced Sunday. The operation targeted a depot holding Sapsan operational-tactical missiles, a drone assembly workshop, and warehouses, along with temporary deployment points across 146 locations.
The ministry said Russian air defense units intercepted three HIMARS multiple-launch rocket rounds and destroyed 172 Ukrainian drones over the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Air Force reported that Russia launched an overnight assault using an Iskander-M ballistic missile and 72 combat and decoy drones, claiming 48 were intercepted. No casualty figures were provided by either side.
The strikes come amid continued high-intensity attacks on critical infrastructure and military sites, underscoring the escalating drone and missile warfare between Moscow and Kyiv.
